On the History Trail

On the History Trail debuts on EBTV in June. Host Mark Nonestied promises an "Indiana Jones-esque tour" of our local historical attractions. On the first edition, he explores the East Brunswick Museum from top to bottom. Future shows may focus on the history of Route 18, Edgeboro Landfill back to the 1700's, and the historic rock carvings along the shore of Lawrence Brook. Watch for it monthly: Sundays at 10 a.m.; Wednesdays at 4 p.m.; and Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

Calls for an encore of "Encore E.B."


We have received so many enthusiastic calls and comments about Encore E.B., since we started showing it a few months ago, that we've decided to show it an additional time each week, beginning in June. Watch for it:
Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m.
Thursdays at 8 p.m.
and Sundays at 11:30 a.m.
June's Encore E.B. features the East Brunswick High School Graduation Ceremony from 1982 (on the football field)... the East Brunswick Jewish Center expansion... and an antique aerial view of town. Things sure have changed!

POLICE AWARDS CEREMONY ON EBTV

2006 East Brunswick Police Awards Ceremony,
recorded May 18 at the Senior Center.
The Ceremony will be televised in its entirety in June as follows:
Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
Thursdays at 10 a.m.
Sundays at 6 p.m.

EBTV soon to return to TV Guide Channel



When Comcast went digital, EBTV's schedule no longer appeared on the TV Guide Channel. The East Brunswick cable Television Advisory Committee has been working hard to remedy that... and we're almost there! EBTV's detailed schedule should appear on the TV Guide Channel within the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for it!

Award Winning Young Musicians on EBTV

The 22nd Annual Young Musicians Concert held May 14 at The Library will be televised on EBTV at 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, May 20, 21, 27 & 28; and at 10 a.m., Sundays, May 21 & 28. Max Guo won First Place for his piano performance.

Memorial Day 1982 on "Encore E.B." in May

The Township's Observance of Memorial Day on May 31, 1982 is featured on this month's edition of Encore E.B. It includes the ceremony at the municipal complex and a parade. IPLE on the News This Week

East Brunswick High School's IPLE class (Institute for Political & Legal Education) placed first in the national "We the People, the Citizen & the Constitution" competition in Washington D.C. this week. See their triumphant return on This Week in East Brunswick Thursday evening at 6:30 and 7:30.

Also this week, Sue Robinson reports from the Police Unity Tour of the elementary schools; and Jillian Angeline and Gary Fayman visit the New Jersey Folk Festival. These stories and more - including a farewell to The Library's old Reference Desk.
