National Poetry Month Celebrated on EBTV

This week, EBTV kicks off a celebration of National Poetry Month with readings by Library staffers and friends. The poems will be televised on "This Week in East Brunswick," along with stories on the groundbreakings at Lawrence Brook and Central Schools.




Also this week, David Soffer interviews the new state President of the AARP, East Brunswick's own Si Larson; and Laura Moriates visits Weight Watchers.

Tuesday afternoons, 1:00 p.m., March 28, April 4, April 11 & 18;
Wednesday nights, 8:30 p.m., March 29, April 5 & 12;
Thursday nights, 8:30 p.m., March 30, and April 6 & 13;
Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., April 2, 9 and 16.

"Welcome to the EARTH Center" debuts on EBTV in March


“Welcome to the EARTH Center” offers a tour of Middlesex County’s new home for the Rutgers Cooperative Research & Extension Office, located at Davidson’s Mill Pond Park. Learn about some of the park’s new features and the programs RCRE’s staff offer county residents. Since horticulture is a big part of the new EARTH Center, you’ll also be introduced to some of the Master Gardeners, who are crucial to the EARTH Center’s focus on environmental stewardship. Produced by the RCRE, "Welcome to the EARTH Center" will be televised on EBTV in March and April as follows:
Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
Saturdays & Sundays at 1:30 p.m.

"Aging Today in Middlesex County" to debut on EBTV in April

“Aging Today in Middlesex County” is a new monthly TV show produced by the Middlesex County Department on Aging. According to Executive Director, Margaret Chester, the show will be a venue for discussing aging issues and providing information about senior services and activities available in Middlesex County. Beginning in April, EBTV will show “Aging Today in Middlesex County” every Monday at 6:30 p.m. and every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

"This Week" starting March 16

Our news "week" actually begins on Thursday nights at 6:30. Each week's show is repeated eight times, through the following Monday evening (check www.ebtv3.org for details).

This week's show - for March 16 - features a Taiwanese Aborigine Princess (a guest of the New Jersey Chinese Book Club); invitations to the Friends of the Library's upcoming Bargain Book Sale and to the East Brunswick Education Foundation's "Partners in Excellence Dinner"; and a few minutes of Sunday night's popular performance by the Rutgers Jazz Quintet. East Brunswick Cub Scout Pack 61 makes an appearance, as well.

This Week's News Features

"This Week in East Brunswick" is the town's own weekly news and information video magazine. This week's features include a visit to Community Day at the Brunswick Square Mall with Jillian Angeline; exciting news from WCTC; and an invitation to celebrate at the upcoming "Partners in Excellence" Dinner sponsored by the East Brunswick Education Foundation.

Watch for it Thursday night at 6:30; Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday night at 7:30; and Saturday, Sunday, & Monday at noon.
